ABOUT
An “Uncharted / Tomb Raider”-inspired level in an ancient temple deep in a mountainous jungle. The goal is to get to the big set of double doors at the top of the temple. The original idea was to create a temple with a main path and a secret path, leading to a collectible at the end. To mimic the functionality of mechanics such as ziplines and ledge climbing, I used a red disc to indicate where an action can take place. Then, I used the colors blue and red to denote objects of interest in the level. I wanted to have a lot of verticality and awe as the player traverses through the somewhat linear path in the middle, while making the secret path have a lot tighter platforming.
